Valleylock Security
Valleylock supports and secures cut valley tiles, locking them in position thus insuring they cannot become dislodged and slide out in severe weather. By enclosing the water channel, falling debris such as tree branches, leaves and hail are prevented from damming the valley, which can lead to ceiling flooding. As with roof gutters, Valleylocked valleys should be cleared of debris from time to time.
Valleylock Quality and Durability
Valleylock is formed from high quality zinc coated steel, a strong long lasting metal that has been used as a roofing material for more than 20 years. Zinc coated steel is used for other roof plumbing products such as metal roofs, roof gutters, flashings and rainwater tanks, thus valleylock will be compatible with these products, valleylock is also suited to the collection of drinking water.
Valleylock carries a 12 month manufacturers warranty from date of installation.
Valleylock installation
Installation of Valleylock is most cost efficient when your new tiled roof is being installed, however a roof tiler can easily install Valleylock at anytime.
Valleylock is simply placed up the centre of the roof valley and the tiles cut neatly into the sides of it. The "lock" is achieved with a combination of roof pitch, tiles overlapping each other, and the binding effect between the tiles and the side perforations in Valleylock.
Valleylock Appearance
Valleylock provides a "finished look" to roof tile valleys, concealing the raw cut edges of the tiles, and providing an aesthetically appealing clean straight finish to the entire valley. As a further option, the top surface of Valleylock can be painted to match your roof tile colour.
